Pull type electric fan on IC?
I am looking for some feedback from the experienced FI guys. I am going to rip the crank fan off of my crank pulley(on my TTA) thereby creating some room to mount an 8" electric pull type fan on the backside of the IC. With the closed nose of the TTA I am hoping it will dramatically enhanced the flow of air through the IC.
If any of you FI guys know what I'm talking about in reference to this car please chime in.
Thanx,
Pete

Dunno bout your particular application, but a lot of people use electric fans on their intercoolers. Basically intercoolers function just like a radiator, so the more airflow you get across them the better.

It is actually a really good idea - more air across and intercooler will bring the efficiency higher. But you need to get cool air from outside the car thru it - not hot air from the radiator.
Hey Pete, do you go on turbobuick.com? There is lot of info there under the TTA section. You will be able to get answers there as far as what works on TTA. My buddy's TTA ran 11.22@ 118mph. his mods are; TE 63 turbo,3"downpipe w/two deltagate setup, full race trans w/ Art carr 9" nonlockup converter, MSD 50# injecters, Translator Plus,340 fuel pump adj reg an a stretched stock location IC.
