Super Ram?
Hello all,
I have a '89 firebird with, 305, TBI, with ATI P1SC supercharger. My goal is to get rid of the FMU that ATI sells and go with a DFI setup, however with the TBI, (so far from what I read) I'm screwed. So the next plan is to install the Accel Super Ram with the Gen VII DFI. This is costly and I don know why Holley is much cheaper. I have lots of mods on the car already, headers, high flow exhaust, etc.. please read signature. I've read about the 305 with super ram being too much, but I dont have TPI to polish my intake. All comments and suggestions will be greatly apprecited. P.S once the 305 craps out I will install a 350.

I have been thinking of doing the same thing my self and my car is TPI to start with. My plan is the HSR (stealth ram) hardware and the stock computer with an FMU and then later if needed a holley computer on the repinned stock harness.

oh hey Dar long time no see. BTW, I was going to do the same thing as Darcom, but the constraints of having two cars helped me make the decision to put my super ram on the N/A 412 car instead, and the HSR on the "blown" car. I think either one could do the job but the 412 car cant get a different hood to clear the HSR and I cant afford to buy two super rams

Ok,
Heres the update, I just purchased the SuperRam, with the GenVII and the sync dist from Accel. Will have to but TPI cables for the tranny and throttle. This setup along with the P1SC should be a great setup. However my mielage will be in the dirt.

i'm kinda in the same boat. i got a l98 with a vortech blower. i'm getting ready to rebuild the motor and i plan to change the intake setup. i'm going with the stealthram too, but for my fmu i'll be doing the 749 ecm swap and burning custom chips. right now i'm just trying to come up with an engine combo with alot of top end power. the end result will be 18-20 psi so i need to make sure i pick the right combo.
I have been runiing the SuperRam for about 10 years. The biggest problem I have seen with it is putting it on and taking it off. Make sure you get the right injectors before installing it. I would go with the Stealth Ram or MiniRam for ease of working on it. Also there is less places to get vac leaks.
