Procharger/TPI Guys: What are you shifting at?
Procharger/TPI Guys: What are you shifting at?
I have been less than excited with my "gtech" times out of this since the procharger has been installed. Of course, part of the issue could be because it hasn't been dyno tuned and because i have been running street tires, with no suspension mods other than subframe connectors, but I have noticed that my 700R4 shifts at 5200, and when I had it on a boost gauge and took it up to about 85 mph or so, it never saw past 7psi. Could this be that I need to set the shift points to about 5700 rpm instead? Coupled with the traction issue, I could see how an extra 500 rpm on each gear could gain me some great times. What are your thoughts? What do you all shift at?

First things first get it tuned before you serioulsy beat on it. I shift at about 6000rpm because I build a lot more boost. Our engines are designed to be shifted at 5500-5600 with the TPI runners and intake, but I got 30-35 more hp on a dyno by holding first gear until 6000rpm. After 1st I shift at the redline.
