Yeah I realize it has nothing to do with TPI, but I don't see any LT1 message boards and since the engine is set up much like the TPI system someone might know something

Q: Does anyone own an LT1 with a vortec supercharger on it?
A: Yes many people do. There is a kit available for this.
Q: What are the horse power numbers prior to installing?
A: Assuming the LT1 is stock anywhere between 250HP and 290HP depending on the year the LT1 was made and the particular cam grind it is using.
Q: What are the horsepower numbers after?
A: It depends on which Vortec kit you install. A gain can be had of 45% to 80% depending on many variables.
Q: Can you stroke an LT1?
A: Yes you can. An LT1 is a Chevy small block engine. It has different heads but there are stroker LT1's out there. I don't know if you can get a kit to do this or if you have to get it custom from a machine shop.

cool cool, I realized you can do all this stuff for the LT1 I just want someone who has one to tell me what they think and what they suggest. I started to think about gettin an LT1 because you can put a Vortech on it.
