NOS Fogger on TBI
my point was that you fight yourself when you try to go fast with TBI.
okay, lets revue, when you tune it, get a computer/reburn.
you get expensive electronics and virtually no performance from them,
if you think about it, my arguement has been proven, that if you want to go fast with TBI it will cost you.
you can run tens with 1000 dollars in carbureted stuff, victor jr. holley 850, mallory 140 w/ regulator,
what kind of fuel system would it take to run tens with TBI?
i was thinking of a nitroused system, since that is where the thread started, but the point is the same, it is far cheaper to go as fast as youd like with carb, and if youre going to spend the money to keep FI, you might as well do so with TPI, or the LT1 system.

Alright, well to be fair the Holley 670 carb costs $360, the 670 tbi costs $334. Cheaper
How can anything be easier than simply hooking a computer up and having it tell you EXACTLY what the engine is doing and fine tuning from there? And more reliable? The GM tbi is probably THE single most reliable form of fuel delivery in the world. Yes, more reliable than a carb. No floats, no chokes, nothing like that, tbi is so simple, thats why it's so reliable.

okay, or you could get a http://store.summitracing.com/partde...LY%2D0%2D4776C
carbs are alot more reliable than you give them credit for, and your car will tell you whats going on, you dont even have to buy a computer, cool huh?

Owning an 89 formula with the L03 engine, i can tell you that stock performance is pretty pitiful, however that doesn't mean TBI sucks. It's actually pretty easy and cheap to start making power with a TBI, although it does require fixing that nasty little intake/throttle-body/manifold flow problem. If you own an L03 or any tbi, and think getting power out of it is hopeless, definately check out this site http://www.goingfaster.com/spo/modthel03.html
And what's with the "tbi is stupid" ?
What kinda answer is that?

its the kind of answer that states my opinion, i love how you guys are fighting for the worst kind of EFI, it is humorous, yet pitiful.
notice none of the 305's on the bottom of the page are TBI(oh, thats strange, how surprised am i?)

Dosent mean that just because it has a choke its going to turn on just as fast.My friend has a 1978 trans am with a 455 carb and it take him at least 3-4 try's to get the car started in the winter. And it only takes me 1 turn of the key.
