anyone see a vortech FMU recalibration kit?
anyone see a vortech FMU recalibration kit?
I've got way to much fuel with my FMU.. Its going max rich at 4000 rpm and not pulling beyond that because of it (I guess)
Has anyone looked at the recalibration kits Vortech sells? I hate to wait a week for a few washers and pay $40 for it

the FMU recal kit is a spacer ring and a fitted plate that is bigger than just a 'washer', with exeption of one of the ratios (I forget which) that is merely one huge plate.
I'm going through the same problems. I've decided my Vortech FMU is a POS and I'm getting ready to do a 749 swap and burn a chip using the $58 code. I'd rather have total control.

Im going a similar route. I like my FMU and have had great success with it. My intention is to continue running it and learn the ins and outs of programming my 730 then possibly swith to a 749 afterwards.
