Stealth Ram with Procharger......

I am building a 357ci motor, w/ 4340 forged crank, 6" rods, afr195cc heads, 9:0 to 1 comp, Procharger D1SC(Cog Setup) w 14#'s of boost, yadda, yadda, yadda. Anyways, i am wondering if there is anyone on here with a procharger or similar setup that has switched from the stock tpi to the stealthram. What kinda changes in HP and torque did you see? 1/4 mile ET changes? I am contimplating which one to use. I have heard from Larry at ASSC that since tpi engines make all there power from useable torque and that stealth ram takes the lower end torque away that people with superchargers have actually been losing time on there ets by changing to stealth ram(or miniram) from the orig. TPI style.(W/ big runners, porting, etc..). I really would like a stealth ram but not if its gonna hurt my ets. So if you have any info please let me know. Especially if you have a similar combo, let me know the results!!!
Thanks

From a stealth ram swap you should lose some power/tq before 3500 rpm's, but after that the power gains are very signifigant. To make power with the stealth ram you need to shift at at least 6000 rpm's or you can actually lose power compared to your tpi system.

The thing about the stealth ram is it's designed to perfom well with certain modifications. A good cam, heads, (2500-3000) stall, will yield awesome gains. There have been a few guys on the board who have done the full before and after dyno of their previous tpi to HSR set up. Do a search for the HSR by Esams as the thread creator. He lost some tq/hp but above 4000 rpm's the motor started to make some good gains. It all depends on your setup.

I am doing a similar setup to yours. Ive got AFR's 185cc, HSR,
D-1SC, headers, stall , etc. As soon as I get a different cam and some rockers i'm going to install everything and i'll send you a pm on my results.

I believe if youve got a good cam and a stall the HSR will make serious power for your blown motor.

Do a search on the board and you'll find some damn good info on peoples gains.
