Need sound feedback on Supercharger before purchase

Need sound feedback on Supercharger before purchase

Here is my current setup. I am debating about adding a D1SC w/ 8lbs boost & dual intercoolers. If I added the D1SC am I beyond what the stock bottom end and hypertech pistons can handle? Should I save the money and build a bullet proof bottom end and later go SC instead? Any possible problems you can point out is appreciated before I make a purchase. I've spoke with David@Tenacious and he said I could get the best/real world feedback here.

Also I was going to swap to the 749 instead of FMU.

87 IROC Camaro
350 c.i. Super Ram & HiFlow base intake
AFR 190 heads 64cc w/ 1.6 rockers
Cam - @.050 218/224 duration .495/.502 lift lobe center separation 114 deg
MSD DIG6 ignition, dist, & coil
700R4 auto w/ 3.27 rear gears & vigilante 2800 stall
hypertech pistons w/ 4 valve relief for about 9.5:1 compression & stock bottom end

Engine: 305 TPI under 14 psi
Transmission: aftermarket T56
Axle/Gears: Moser 12 bolt 3.08 gears
With your aluminum heads and 9.5:1 compression you will be ok with 8psi of boost(intercooled) and premium gasoline. Right now I'm running almost 10psi on my completely stock 305 with no problems. Major thing is to get the tune right. If you go lean thats where the damage is done.

What about hitting max horsepower for stock bottom end with the mods I have plus the supercharger???
