tpi build up???
im planning on building a tpi small block, and had a few questions -if anyone could help it'd be greatl;y appreciated
(right now i have a 5.0 tpi in my '85 trans am, with a 700r-4 with a 2500stall converter, and 4.10 gears)
i was wondering if anyone knew anyything about or had any expierence with Powerhouse's 305 stroker kit (335), because i was considering this with iron vortech heads and vortech tpi base and siamesed runners and ported plenum, and a high lift roller cam and lifters, with a chip and 3inch flowmaster cat back....
i'd like to be under 13.3 or so, is this possible with my planned mods???, any help will help alot!,
thanks, Keith/85 trans am 5liter tpi

Oh man! I really hope you follow through with your plans. Id love to see someone build a stout 305. A buddy of mine is planning on getting the 335 kit. I read an article on a 305 stroker kit ( not sure if it was the powerhouse kit though) and unfortunately i cannot remember the magazine either. But they ran it on an engine dyno and gained just under 100 HP with it. Ive seriously been comtemplating this kit, as i plan on keeping my 305. Let me know how this goes, and good luck!

I am not going to be the only one to say this but I am first - your money will be better spent on a bore kit for the 305 (a 350 block). There are several people runnig around with better than stout 305s but never N/A. The cubes and bore just isn't there. There are several reasons to use a 305 with forced induction but pretty much general concensus is to just get a 350.
