Different type nitrous plates affecting jet sizes?

I am running TPI 305 with a mild cam and ported heads. I have an old style Nitrous (nos brand) plate. It has two fogger nozzles spraying in each side. What I am wondering is would this affect the jet sizes as compared to the newer plates that only have one set of jets?

I was thinking with the two foggers and two sets of jets, it's going to be running way too rich since tpi runs rich stock. Also I was searching old posts and I read a few people had problems with jetting on 305s. I know I need to experiment with different jet sizes but would like anyone else's opinion as well.

I only ran it one time with a 100hp shot and it did seem bogged down. The first hit was good but after the bottle pressure dropped just a little it bogged down. I have MSD timing control, ignition, and coil. A better fuel pump is going in as well.

By the way, this is a carbed super powershot setup converted over. That would explain why it was bogging since the carbed set ups are running bigger fuel jets than the efi.

I've been looking for the Nos brand Jet sizes for the EFI set ups with no luck. A member posted the NX jet sizes. I don't know if they are similar.

well for your 100 shot you'll need to run two sets of 50HP jets..... so each fogger nozzle shoots a 50 shot of nitrous into the motor, and you will need efi jets because carbed cars run at around 6 psi fuel pressure, efi runs at around 45 psi... so obviously with that fuel jet thats sized to flow "X" amount of fuel at 6 psi.... its gonna flow a hell of a lot more at 45 psi, making it run extremely rich

as far as the original question you asked.. i dont know if you can use a diff brand of jets with your plate, i imagine you could, but i dunno, i need to find this out myself, as im going to be using a edlebrock carb system converted to efi on my truck

Thanks I think I'll convert to the newer style plate. The foggers look really cool but I don't think they will be efficient unless it was direct port.

Two foggers spraying into the plenum just doesn't seem right. Then again, the newer style plate has two holes spraying out of the spray bar into the plenum. So it might not be much different.

I am going to find out what I can about EFI jet sizes.

There is about 20 holes per bar on the new plate. Here is a pick of it. If you look close you can see them. I think I even still have the origional paper work with the jet sizes somewhere. I will have to look.

Damn, I was wrong about that . With that many holes and the way it's facing, it does seem a lot better than what I have. Much simpler with only two jets needed. Plus if I ever get a new Throttle body, I won't need to grind down the linkage like I had to for the older plate.

If you could find the paper work for the EFI jet sizes, please email them to me or post them. I would really appreciate it man.
