Anybody know how to rig up an alcohol injection system? have some plans for it??
I wanted to find some instructions for making an alcohol injection system for my firebird to compliment the cheater nitrous system.

Axle/Gears: 7.5" Auburn 4.10 Posi-Traction
Do an internet search.
Turbo, detonation, water injection, ping, knock,
etc are some good key words.
there are some good homebuilt plans there.
The key is a high pressure pump and small atomizing
misting nozzle.
A NOS fuel solenoid can be used to ensure water does not enter the engine except when you want it to.
I've always thought water injection would go along with nitrous oxide injection real well.
Would control combustion chamber temps and burn rate.
requiring a lot less ignition retard and reducing the chance of detonation/preignition with larger amounts of Nitrous.

Register on turbobuick.com and read some info on the alchy systems we run. Not sure how well it'd work with the juice though, great for us turbo guys

maybe snow.The water is injected as a fine spray mist that vapourizes as opposed to dumping it in.

Well, actually probably what i would do would be substitute alcohol for the gas for the fuel part of your nitrous system, then all' you'd hve to figure out would be what fuel jet to use. Other than that a lot of the viper and corvette guys are having a lot of success using propane for the fuel additive. In short why add ANOTHER system, when the one you're adding anyway is capable of doing what you want.

You need a little more then 2 time the methanol compaired to gas for the same amount to nitrous
