wondering...I'm planning on a 150 shot on my firebird.

itll handle it. i know if you dont get rings that are made for nos or charging they will wear faster. i was unsure of what i would be running in the future so i made sure when i built my engine, i got some rings made for power adders. thank *** i did because i just bought a blower hope you dont use the juice to offen...

The stock block can take a 150 all day long. Its the pistons that have the trouble standing up to the abuse. Ive run as much as a 175 on a high mileage (168K) motor and had good luck for a time. Then on an NA pass I had a piston let go and things went astray. Block Pics

Id say your gonna be fine as long as you keep it at 150 or below and used sparingly. I think my undoing was too many hot laps and the top ring butted and cracked the piston top.
