what else will i need

I want to put together a blower moter. I have a fully forged bottom end and when I get my heads I should have about 8.3 to 1 compression. If I get a supercharger what else will I need. The piping and oil lines are no problem, but do I need anything else like a blow off valve for a turbo.what do I need for a supercharger? The car is an 89 formula and I'm gonna keep the LTR.

I wasn't goona buy a kit if I could help it. I really don't want to spend 3000 dollars on a kit when I can fab brackets and the piping. But if that is the best way I"ll do it.

I'm not sure, but the reason for using blow off valves, etc. on turbos is that they run on exhaust pressure, and will make more power as long as there is pressure to operate the turbo. With a blower operated by a belt, you can adjust the pressure by pulley sizes to adjust the blower speed. If you don't run the blower too fast, you won't over boost, you don't need blow off valves, etc.

thanks for the answer. the blow off valve is to releive boost when you let off the gas. I guess because the turbo free wheeling.
