Fuel & water injection

I have been reading up on water injection and it sounds like a cheap way for me to resolve timing issues. I have one question about it.

I am going to be running a blow thru carbed turbo system. For extra fuel i'm running an extra injector controled by a hobbs switch. I was wondering if the water injector would lean out the fuel to much because both of them are going to be injected into the intake path at about 3psi of boost.

Any thoughts?

Rob

what do you mean by that? the fuel injector would richen the mix... the water would not effect it at all... also check out the home made kits (cause sounds like yours is gonna be homemade) from mrdude1, and rooster433... they both used two 19lb fuel injectors (to add water) and rooster said he could probably use more

Thanks for the input... and yeah its gonna be home made! Thats the only way I do things! But it will looks pro for sure. I turboed my old MX6 and it worked out sweet!
As far as the homemade water injection kits i'm going to be ordering one from a link i got on this site... Mc something... can't remember but the kit was the right price.

Just for confusion sake, why run both water and an extra fuel injector?. First with a properly set up carb you shouldn't need extra fuel enrichment. If you do need it run alcohol or propane injection instead. You'll get the same or better cooling as water, fuel enrichment, and higher octane rating for lower chance of detonation.

I would still like the vehical to get good mileage when i'm not boosting, that is why i don't want to jet it out. I have heard stories about running lean in mid throttle running a carb set up. So i will run a single injector with a boost referenced FPR for a better fuel curve.

I don't wanna mess with the ignition that is why i want to use water injection

Hmm, someone seems to have missed the point, read the last 2 sentences of my previous post over. then add the simplicity of it being one system instead of 2.
Also check out this link

and maybe talk to some of the guys on the turbobuick forums.
