HSR w/boost

I am hoping to be builing a motor this year for my IROC.

Potential setup will be a 400sbc with an HSR and some type of supercharger -- all thru a T-56.

Does anyone have a setup like this on here?

As for the buildup on the 400sbc, I haven't quite decided yet. I am looking for somewhere in the 12's w/o N20, possibly lower with N20.

Pros/Cons?? Just throwing around the idea and want some opinions.

On your setup, u were N/A w/ N20 right? Any ideas how safe or what my rough HP figures would be with a 400sbc w lets say a Paxton S/C?

BTW: Whats the diff between the car and truck blocks?

my understanding is that the car blocks are a thinner casting than truck blocks . a friend in his 86 has a stock truck block and he is turning it to 7500 rpm's and a 150 to 200 shot . last year he ran 10.07 @ 137.8 mph in street trim. he had it apart over the winter and it all looked fine. ay the chevy talk forums they say dont take a stock block 400 over 6500 or 500 horse. another friend with a 85 ran 9psi boost pro charger and his stock block ended up looking like mine. i would look for an early 70 truck block to try it with
