moving the IAT sensor?

Would the FAST ecu benifit from moving the sensor from the back of the holley intake to the intercooler/intake pipe? I currently have the sensor mounted by the cap/rotor on the stealth ram intake.
I was thinking of putting it just before the throttle body by the BOV

What it would benefit from is whatever it is programmed to work with. If you have the choice of either, I'd choose whatever is closest to the cylinder and would give the most accurate impression of what is making it into the combustion chamber, that way you have the best chance of "getting it right"

There is no benifit to moving it to a colder area.... The advantage of doing that is for people with a stock ECU to "fool" it into leaning out the cylinders by thinking there is colder air in the intake...With the FAST system you can change all of the parameters so your better off to leave it as close to the cylinders as you can...that gives you the most accurate datapoint to tune from..

Kenwood is exactly right. This actually BURNED ME GOOD once. Not exactly the same situation but when I was having problems with my tubing blowing off between the TB and intercooler, it actually pulled the wires connected to the IAT off. As in they were hanging there exposed sending a bunk signal to the ECU (if one at all??)

it caused me to go pig rich and my headers turned red and it was a nightmare tuning. it happened on the dyno and I never did figure out what caused it that day. the next day as I was working through the car, I found the wires sitting there and it clicked.

Word to the wise: the IAT is VERY important when it comes to the FAST system.
