Paxton SC Oil Cooler
I am building the oil cooler system for my Paxton SN93. I have found the dipstick and a Derale twin flow cooler with the 10 inch fan. I need to have some idea of what pump to use for transmission fluid. I have tested a cheap Purolator fuel pump, it will pump the trans fluid by itself, but it won't pump through the cooler and back up to the blower.
I have entertained the idea of using a Holley Red Pump, but any ideas will be great before I jump into that....
I have also looked at www.jcperformance.com , but $350 for a cooler setup (for a POS Paxton, no less) is a little much....

I am sure you could use a gm (fwd) power steering pump. mount a small 12v motor to it or just keep the belt drive.

eBay..... There was a mustang guy selling two Sn93s. I emailed him, and convinced him to trade me the oil cooler dipstick for my standard dipstick plus $10........
I would have gotten the complete cooler with the pump but he didnt have it.

Got it...
Well, I finally broke down and bought a used Holley Blue pump. Beautiful. Primes itself perfectly, pumps a quart in few seconds, and circulates the Type F fluid fine.

Re: Paxton SC Oil Cooler
i have a sn 2000 on my 90 gt with a pump from paradice wheels out of Cal. The guy there you need to speak with is Craig. Their pumps are alot cheaper than your alt. rout and work fine. Ive had there set up for over 10 years without any trouble. The only complaint I have is they qiut making paxatrac fluild, so that means your down at least 5 psi of boost on reg trans. fluid.

WOW! Blast from the past! I started this thread 6 years ago...... I talked to Craig at Paradise wheels at the time..... too much money for it all. I'm not sure that they are still in business.
I sold the Paxton to another Thirdgen member a number of years ago.
