Pro charger for 85 iroc

Hey all!
I did a seach an did not come up with much. Is anyone aware of a bolt on system(ATI procharger type) for an 85 with tpi? I have a 14,000 original mile car that is pretty nice and I really don't want to chop it up to add some more power. And being that it has so few miles I really can't see putting a new engine in it. If anybody has any sugestions I would love to hear them.

Thanks Kris

It wouldn't be practical to try and turn a supercharger with a v-belt, so it requires you to either buy a universal SBC kit and rearange your accessories (sp?), or convert all your accessories (sp?) over to the serpentine setup.

Paxton at one time made a kit for the V-belt set up. They are hard to find right now. If you can get your hands on one, it fits without any modification. I have one and am happy with it, the only problem is that the SN2000 compressor redlines at 35,000 RPM. That equates to an engine speed of around 5100 RPM. But keep in mind that is where the TPI falls off anyway.
I don't know of any other manufacturer that made a kit for the TPI V-belt.

Thanks for all the help
It sounds to me like the best bet would be to convert everything over to a later belt set up. Does anyone offer a kit for this or do you have to piece it all together? If anyone has done that what is involved? I really want to keep that part as stock a possible. I also want to keep the AC. And one more qestion how reliable are the prochargers. I really like that fact that I don't have to wrench on the IROC unless I want to right now. Turn the key and go. Sorry about the long post and thanks for the replies. If anyone knows where I might be able to pick up a paxton kit for the v belt set up I would be interested in that also.

As far as the serpentine belt conversion, GMPP has a kit. I think it is around $750 with new WP, Alt, PS pump, and A/C Compressor. Not too bad IMO considering it includes all the brackets, hardware, and pulleys too. You will need to modify the A/C lines since the A/C compressor will move to the passenger side. You may be able to finde good A/C lines for the serpentine belt system from a salvage yard as well.

PS- Summit Racing Sells the GMPP serpentine conversion under PN: NAL-12497698 for $749.95
