I have a 1986 Camaro Z28 wth a 350 from a Caprice Police Interceptor. I have looking into an upgrade route, since the motor is young I have decided I will most likely go with a trickflow engine kit, cam specs @.050 228 int 234 exh 110 sep 106 int centerline .480 int lift .494 exh lift, I'll be coupling this with 64cc 23 degree heads at about 9.4 compression. I plan on running a Weiand 142 Blower at around 8-10 pounds. I am running headers, 5 spd stick, 3.73's and 3" exhaust.
What should I change on the carb. to make it run happily with this setup? I already plan on running a D hanger and CE rods on the secondary side. The carb is off of a 305 Vin (H) and is CC.

I decided to Go carb, any one have a suggestion of who can build a good carb, for the above stuff. I want to stay with stock style Q-jet, so I need someone reliable who can mod it or tell me how to mod it. I've only recently learned to rebuild it, not as hard as everyone makes it BTW. Peace,

and
"9.4 compression"
don't jive.
Boost reference the secondaries...if it can be done on a Q jet.
Boost reference your fuel pump as well and you are set to go.

My carb is vacume secondary can I just run a vacume line to the manifold port that sees boost/vac?
I was planning on using a Mechanical Fuel pump, should I also use a fulepressure regulator to up Fuel pressure with boost?

Look around online for how to boost reference secondaries or better yet get it straight out of Hugh McInnes's book TURBOCHARGERS.
great book
you can buy a regulator like you planned, or you can boost reference your fuel pump...provided it has the flow requirements you need.
sorry my answers are short, but both of these things require several pages a piece to explain and its all on here somewhere.

since it is a draw thru setup you don't have to do anything to the carb as it will not see the boost.
One thing is for sure you will need to increase the accelerator pump shot or it will have a lean pop on tip in.
The carb you mentioned is not really big enough for your application. You are probably going to run around 5-6 lbs of boost and would need to have a holley carb for best performance. Holley also makes carbs specificaly for your app. with a *boost referenced power valve circuit* which really helps with that off idle tip in response.
And last if you use your q-jet loosen up the secondary air valve so it opens quick cause your gonna need it.
