In my NOS 5151 kit (I think thats the #) It says you can use a 150 shot. I am sure it will take it as long as everything is in good order. Make sure your fuel pump is up to snuff before spraying it. Depending on your climate you might need to use different jets. Try to jet towards the rich side of things. It is always better to run rich than melt a piston.
Since you are asking this question I assume that you have never used nitrous before, I would start off with a smaller shot that way you will have an idea on how the car will react.

NOS kits are generally jetted fat for just that reason... They want you to bolt it on and have fun not go BOOM! You should be ok with the stock kit but I would suggest adding a nitrous pressure gauge in the drivers line of sight as well as an adjustable fuel press regulator w/ gauge... These are your primary and best tuning tools. Good luck!

if the motor has less than 100k on it you can get away with 100shot, anything pass 100k with stock internals would be a ticking time-bomb.

id agree with that.. just make sure your motor is sound as well as the feul system. it only takes a second of low fp to burn a hole in the piston. your best bet is to just research and do wht you feel confortable with and dont jerry rig it up.
