Okay, i've got a Vortech V-1 blower on my 383 TPI. I have broken the snout off the crank by trying to keep my blower belt on. Has anyone fabricated a spring loaded tensioner for a Vortech supercharging system for a TPI Camaro? Are there any companies that make one? Has anyone else encountered this problem or anything similar? It throws the belt in the higher RPM's after the rubber expands on the belt. The solid tensioner just isn't good enough. Any solutions other than a spring loaded tensioner? How long does a belt take to break in? After a belt breaks in, does it stop expanding? I've took the time and aligned all my pulleys properly before i broke the crank, but it still threw it. I just can't figure this one out. I wonder how supercharged camaros on the strip keep their belts on. Any help would be appreciated. Meanwhile, i've got to replace the crank...
