Nitrous!?

hey guys we all have heard about nitrous and the great things it does, and some it destoys. i have a 350 V* with cast iron crank and hyperpnuematic flat top pistons with hasting (in think cast iron rings). i am saving up to install the edelbrock performer heads to match my performer cam and intake. i think it would be really sweet to install the edelbrock performer nitrous kit as well. this is my only and first car, i really don't want it to be too racey. would it be ok to use nitrous on my engine? would it be too strong, and is there anything else i might need to install besides whats included in the performer nitrous kit. thanks alot guys and if i get the kit i'll let yall know about it.
