Something You Dont See Everyday 2

Some members asked me to post these specs back then and i didnt--to them im sorry. The reason i didnt was because i was new to the site(but not 3rdgens) and my first post was locked because of flaming. So please keep the flames away as this is just for imformation. The car does run but i cant get it to idle under 2 grand unless its tilted.I have put about 600 miles on the car turboed with a few 1/4 and 1/2 mile pulls at wot on the street. It appears now that this project will never be finished.Im at my wits end with the idle(as stated in the "turbo coming off" thread) and medical reasons.I have been diagnosed with HS,liver failure, and deteriorating eye sight among other things. For those that dont know what HS is check this websight http://www.hs-usa.org/ .Click the pic links only if you have a strong stomach.I was instructed not to sweat at all if possible as sweating causes imflaming. So im pretty much screwed for the rest of my life or stuck to working outside in the middle of winter near naked!!Ive already battled these things for 8 years and am 27 now and my case is well into stage 3.The liver is still being diagnosed as i dont drink and havent drank the equivalancy of a pint of vodka throughout my life.Eyes still being diagnosed as they cant pinpoint why they are deteriorating at such a rapid rate(20/40 to 20/100 in the last 5 months).I'll still do what i can when i can because the day they tell me i cant drive or work on my cars will be the day i'll be no more.Running to doctors and buying medicine keeps money as non or near nonexisting. And at times the HS keeps me bedfast for a month+ straight. So with that aside please keep the flames to minimum!!!

The how i done it and cost list:

(1)Took my edel carb off my edel torker 2 intake.
(2)Bought a steel plate(Don't remem if its half;3/4;or inch though-they said i used to thick but i wanted it to stay sealed without warping)[2 bucks].
(3)Marked,drilled and tapped the holes to mount plate on the intake.
(4)Drilled hole for the turbo to breath through all the way to the front edge of the carb opening to allow the turbo to clear distributer and still breath fully.
(5)Drilled and tapped the holes to bolt turbo to plate.
(6)Drilled hole in valve cover and mounted a oil drainoff from another turbo to it and connected the turbo's oil drain to it.
(7)Routed heatercore hose through carb plate on turbo.
(8)Bought a T fitting and steel line to feed the turbo oil from the stock oil sending unit hole[3 bucks].
(9)Took a stock 88up 4x4 truck exhaust manifold and cut the outlet end off it and shaped it to mate to the frontend of a stock camaro manifold.
(10)Cut a hole in the camaro manifold and port matched it to the end i shaped from the truck manifold.
(11)Took the manifold to the only welder around and got the piece welded on(he did a ****ty job)[50 bucks--think he ripped me there--he just welded it with a cast iron rod with a arc welder and took him 1 min].
(12)Connected fuel to the carb and routed vacuum hoses to the vacuum tree on back of carb.
(13)Ordered a universal throttle/tranny bracket and 700r4 adapter that bolts to the corner of the carb[15 bucks i think].
(14)Modified it to make it work by takeing a long chrome valve cover holddown and bolting it on to extend my throttle cable back a inch or so.
(15)Drove car to exhaust shop and mounted turbo exhaust manifold.
(16)They bent me a uppipe, downpipe, and made a crossover pipe[200 bucks--got ripped there too because the guy couldn't bend the angles right and wasted enough pipe to make 5 full exhausts and charged me for a full days work and for all the pipe;wasted included].
(17)Bought a carb hat off ebay for a "before black" buick 3.8 turbo sys[50 bucks](only hat i knew of that would clear hood--and i made sure i got it by putting a real high bid on it incase of a last sec bomb which happened--could've prolly got for half that;those seem to be getting rare though).
(18)Bought a intake pipe from a 3rdgen firebird 2.8--the long rubber type,and filter assembly from a 90 cavalier Z-24 from a local junkyard[5 bucks].
(19)Connected the filter assembly to the carb hat using the short hose from the cav setup and the long hose from the firebird.
(20)Used 2 seatbelt bolts from 3rdgen camaro to plug the 2 holes in the intake hoses(the ones for the locks beside the console they fit real good).
(21)Removed cav filter assy and replaced with a K&N cone filter[free-i found it].

So there it is(as much as i can remem anyway).
