305 stealth and 100 nos ?

Hi from australia i am apparently the only one in auz with a stealth ram in a transam and i have just purchased a 100hp zex nos kit. only thing is since changing from tpi to stealth the car surges a little bit and has a small pop or backfire when decelerating no throttle . at wot the car runs smooth and fine to 6000rpm i have fuel psi at 50 and run 12 degrees. do i have to do anything else before i button the 1oo nos eg i was thinking of getting a tuner cat to see what more power i could extract when on the gas? anything else oyjer than colder plugs and reducing timing this is a stock 305 with stock 86 maf chip any tips for tuning with this setup with the tunercat? any help would be apprecited as i do not want to blow on my first pass !!! cheers

back the timeing back off to stock . That may help with the backfireing. You do know you have to retard it about 2 degrees for every 50 hp of NOSSSSSS so for a 100 shot .... take 4 degrees out of'r mate . This all for while under the influence of giggly gas . When running without it ....I'd just back the timeing off to more stockish. Might help a bit.
