Those with the BBS single turbo kit

Did u happen to purchase a Downpipe from BBS(I dont see it in their site) or at any other location? I'd like to get one made already, instead of fabbing one up. I need a 4" collector to a 3". Where it exits by the frame, i'd then install an exhaust hose. Should someone have a spare, email me price. thanks

I got mine made locally. I only bought the headers of BBS and supplied my own turbo. I had a 4" tapered down to a 3" jjust before it went under the firewall.

Mine was alot more "custom" than the kit though since all my steering and brakes are on the wrong side

I can't just offer you a downpipe since each and every downpipe is different from one to another in some way. They are all made according to the header they come with.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Edgardo

PS: We are currently making single turbo kits for the 2.8-3.1L V6's. People in our e-mail list will be informed when they are available, there will be information on our website too.

Do you possibly have access to an LT1 cylinder head to maybe see how or if at all the plugs clear your single turbo header (the one for v belt with a/c).

Thanks, Tommy.

Any decent exhaust shop would be able to fab you up a dump pipe. You might just have to tow or truck the car to the shop initially...

.... or just run it out the back of the turbo

Yeah i didnt feel like towing it to a shop. I suppose i could fab one up myself, but i i'd rather have it look clean as the pic. I have the BBS single turbo kit, the one formualed for no AC Compressor. Should u ever decide to sell the Downpipe seperatley, let me know.

Do u sell the Intake piping without powdercoating? If so how $$

I believe that you have placed the wastegate in the wrong position. It should be placed towards the header with the other flange the wastegate has.

Turbo setup is looking nice, keep up the good work!

About 6 years ago when I first tt'd the Camaro, I couldn't wait for professional downpipes to get fabricated, so I just removed the hood, and tack welded 90's pointing up, onto exhaust flange's, and drove it to a local exhaust shop like that. It's actually not that loud for a 15 minute drive to the shop.

I spent all day holding that exact same turbo and telling him about the horror storys of the company he bought it from (XSpower/SSautochrome).

I was just browsing threads and printing off the horror storys and decided to chime in that reguardless of where you got it, its the exact same exploding turbo that Stone racing, XSpower, and SSautochrome have been selling to unwary customers for years. There is a new name known though now as Turbo ZY. The turbo you have is offered in a T25, T28, T61, and T70 model and shown on the very non descript tag you have which if you post a very close picture of lists (from memory):

Turbocharger
Type T3 (or T4 if thats what you have)
part no super T61 (or something similar maybe just T60)
serial no T512080765074 (or something similar)

Do not use unless you like turbo guts in your engine and intercooler

Im not saying you bought it from them, where you got it does not change anything. I am sorry you have been bamboozled that badly to make you so hostile. If you don't want people to be able to identify your turbo, take down the pics. I don't know why you are getting all hostile.

No idiocy here, and personal attacks have never helped anyone on this board, and BTW it is a probational or bannable offense.

If you are that adamant about it should I post a picture of the XSpower turbo to show you and everyone else??

Its not a lack of turbo knowledge on any ones part. That company's manufacturing standards are not based on a good product there based on making the sale.
Every one is looking for a good deal.
Grover do us a favor and post a clear picture of your turbo so people know what not to buy.
The more informed we are the better it is for everyone..

it is the fake program they use on the TV show CSI. I zoom in on the image until there is no more information left in the area I am looking into, then I have a magical key on my computer, but I don't press it, I just say the TV script word "enhance" and information not originally in the picture appears from ****ing no where!

j/k I just notice little details like that, as for the turbo, just handle anyones turbo and you will see they are very good to let you know who makes them by putting their name all over it, or putting it once real big, these turbos are very non-descript.

The wording on the tag reads just like this:

Re: Those with the BBS single turbo kit

You get what you pay for, if you wanna use a cheap turbo you better get a turbo saver with it. When that compressor blade starts hitting the cover and sending junk into the oil your bearings are not long for this world.

What's cheaper?

Spending a $1000 to $1500 on a good turbo or $3500 on a new shortblock!

I've used a garrett, a turbonetics 60, 65, and a precision pt-51 on my cars. All were run pretty hard and never had problems. The little 60 went past 30psi a few times and is now on my buddy's car after sitting in the gargae with dust all over it for 2 years.

I will only buy a turbonetics BB turbo from now on.

For the money people are spending on the crap that's on ebay you can go over to www.turbobuick.com find yourself a turbo and either swap the housing to a 4bolt or swap the turbo flange to a 3bolt. You'll prolly spend the same money....

Listen to this man. I mean if you wont use a race turbo then use a well known turbo like a Mitsubishi or Holset at least.
