Turbo burning oil at idle.

I've had the twin turbos on for about 2 months, no problems at all. I put about 1000 miles on the turbos. One turbo was lightly used (driver side) and the other was factory remanufactured by Garrett (passenger side).

Recently the passenger side exhaust pipe started to pump huge amounts of smoke (burned oil), but only at idle. It also does it when drifting downhill.

My guess is that an oil seal on the turbine side of the turbo went bad. Or could the center section be cracked? The intake plumbing is clean and dry. The oil return is near vertical and drains into the top of the fuel pump block off plate with a 1/2NPT fitting. The driverside turbo drains into the driver valve cover.

How do I fix this leak? Can the oil seals be replaced easily (without special tools)?
The bearings are still good, very little play. Would it be easy enough to change the bearings while I'm in there for the seals? Is it difficult to get the shaft-play adjusted or do you just tighten untill it stops. Thanks for any help you can give.
