nitrous solenoids (PWM & controllers)
I have been thinking about installing a nitrous setup on the car this winter and now is the time to start searching for parts.
I want to do a dry setup with an $8D (1992 ECM) controlling the nitrous solenoid and adding the fuel via the injectors. Does anyone know the pulsewidths / pulserates the NOS Cheater / Super / power shot solenoids will operate at? I plan on using a MOSFET to turn the solenoid on and off, but I can't find any info on the rate that I should operate them.
I read some stuff about doing PWM at the solenoid and having the N20 jets at the intake port is not a good thing. That is how NOS and the others do it. Anyone know why it is bad?
Thanks,
J
