How to beat a low 13 second stang

Over winter I need to get my car to run in the 12's so I was thinking a s trim. I have never ran my 85 and I think it will run high 13's as is but I am not sure. I am running stock suspension and unported vortec heads. Do you think I am on the rite track with this before I spend the big dollars?? Details of car in signature.

$400 into a 150 shot and it's done. Or you could spend $4,000 in a blower set up.

Depending on the cam you should be able to run 12's with a stealthram and traction. 150 shot and your in the high 11's...

It has a pretty mild cam.

Who do you want to run? I'll run him for you .
I see you are local, I haven't been out and about much lately so we haven't met.

I have the exact engine setup in my 92. N/A my best time was a 14.39 at 96.7mph. I had an open 2.73 rear and stock tranny though. I turboed it to get into the 12's

He was down at great lakes and ran a 13.3 all day long. My trans is built though with a 2500 stall and with my 3.45 rear geared posi that should get me into the mid 13's If you were runnin low 14's with an open lame gear and stock trans. I was looking into the hurst shifter setup also. HOw do you like yours?? Thanks
