Need help with Turbo I.D.

Hello all,
I have searched and searched but can't figure out what this turbo is.
The part number on it is: 466608-9002

It is a Garrett 400 series, supposedly comes on John Deere 6466 equipment.

But there are no A/r numbers i can see, does anyone have any more info or ideas where I can look? T4, T3, etc..

Thanks,
Mike

HMMMM,

Pretty sure its a T4, been a while since I looked at one, and depending on hp rating could be bigger than that, they were used on 126hp 6404t (older little brother) - 258hp 6466ta in that engine family.

I'd love to put one of them in a P/U, love how they sound when they spool up (screw a cummins). Anyway let me see if I can find out anything.

Went and looked at a few but really didn't find out much, 2 on combines a 404 and a 466 only thing I could still read or see was schwitzer hmmm , and 2 tractors one had a 6619ta had a garrett and a 6404t had a garrett, on the compressor housing it had AirResearch T04 but thats all I could see, but I know I saw an A/R on that turbo when I rebuilt that engine but its been 8 years, original 1974 turbo still going strong 18,000+ hours, I believe it pushed around 30 psi @rated 126hp @2100rpm.

Wish I could be more help but I'm turbo illiterate , wish I had my tech manuals at the house, if I think about it I'll try to look and see if they say anything.

At work today' I saw another garrett 6466t 120hp or so tractor, the compressor housing had A/R .60 and also 40mm on it. Sorry no exhaust #. Wish I still worked around them more, I now work on hmmwv's for the Gov. rebuilding them .

466608-9002S TB4129 John Deere RN16969

Frame size = TB4129

John Deere part # = RN16969

A/R's of .84 ,1.00 and 1.15 for the 466608 part #.

Maybe that will help get you started.

You might swing by john deere and get them to run that number for you.

Ok,
I found stamped on the Hot side Housing:

A/R 100

NO numbers on the compressor housing. I still can't find much info on even the John Deere 6466 engine's.
Thanks
