going to the track/ n20 question
Im going racing on Friday and it's still damn cold out. I only have a bottle blanket for my setup. Should I be concerned with keeping the bottle warm, or what? Will I be okay with just running my heater in the car so it's warm inside? I'm asking because I'm concerned with bottle pressure. Thanks

Speaking from experience, temperature plays a huge roll in bottle pressure and ultimately performance.
If it were me, I would keep your bottle inside the house the night before the race so that it is not cold the next day. Stick it in a bottle blanket and leave your heat on, I don't think it will be a big deal. Do you have a way to check your bottle pressure?

a pressure gauge in next on my list to buy, but i currently dont have one. Yeah, I have been storing the bottle in my house ever since I got it. I was thinking about running my heater on the ride to the track(40 mins) with some blankets in front of the heater along with my bottle blanket. Then wrapping the warm bottle blanket and towels around the bottle. Good idea? or I'm just worrying too much?

I made a pass at night with a cold bottle and a safe (4* of retard) tune on a 100 shot and I only picked up 3 mph. I was trying to figure out what happened, checked the bottle pressure and it was down at 600 psi
. Pretty much meant I picked up about 30-40 horsepower on my 100 shot lol. Supreme Member

The bottle needs to be 85deg F.
Room temp is too cold.
You could use one of those accessory 12v windshield defroster heaters to warm the bottle in the blanket.
The discharge temp of these 12volt heaters is about 100F.
Not enough to overheat the bottle.
Do you have a bottle pressure guage?
You want 850 900PSI bottle pressure.
Thats about 85deg F. Trust the pressure guage more than a thermometer but use both.
You want to heat the *whole bottle evenly*.
A bottle blanket heater takes a long time to heat up a cold bottle. But will maintain a warmed bottles temp.
Put the bottle in a ice cooler full of warm (85deg F) water.
I would preheat the bottle in warm water before going to the track for a few hours so it is heated evenly.
Take the cooler full of warm water to the track with ya.
I've done it
