My D1sc is here!!!!

WoooHoooo!!!!!

Finally my D1sc procharger arrived....hopefully i will start installing it this weekend....and i will have a digital cam to take alot of pictures....

Has anyone made different brackets for the aftercooler....the ones that come in the kit are pretty cheesy...i was thinking of fabricating up some rubber mounts and sturdier brackets...

procharged,

i just tried installing the head unit on the bracket...looks lke it might need some spacers and longer bolts....my concern is it ok to have it set sideways ...it looks way different than the picture in the installation manual

No,It doesnt need spacers or longer bolts.I thought this also. They might have installed the wrong pully on your head unit also, they did on mine. They put a marine pully on mine .You can tell if your pully is marine also.If the pully is set away at least an inch from the face of the blower you have the wrong pully. If thinking that putting spacers when mounting the unit will line up the idler pullys with your pully on the blower you have the wrong pully. You need to call ATI,extension 211 ask for Mike, tell em Darren sent you.You tensioner needs to be machined to fit the blower. The bolts you have for mounting the blower are the rtight ones, the blower is supposed to mount flush to the bracket. They are goint to send me out a new machined tensioner, the didnt even ask for the old one back. You have my #,I will be home this weekend,or you can give me yours.Let me know what happens. This is what happens when you are the first ones to get the kit.We are probably the only ones in the country with this kit.LOL keep me posted
Oh one more thing ,you said the blower mounted looks different than in the picture.Give me a call,Ill tell you how to re**** the blower outlet. You can turn it to suit your needs.

Well you are right...the head unit hits the tensioner bracket...and my pulley is 1" from the face of the head unit...so i guess i have the marine pulley...damn the bad luck...
as far as turning the outlet that doesnt look to be a problem...just loosen up the compressor housing bolts, turn the housing and retighten....i just can't believe they never installed one of these units on the bracket with the tensioner in place...i left a message with mike @ ATI...plus i left a message for you at the # you gave me...call me...i'll be home all night...

Is there any problems with the Self Contained D-1sc?? I would rather get that then tapping my oil pan. And is there any price difference in the sc to the regular d-1?

well as your read....so far the supercharger unit itself does not fit on the bracket (hits the tensioner bracket)...and it seems they send the wrong pulley on it...and its $100 more for the selfcontained option...i just got a digital cam today...so i will be taking alot of pics and posting them on my webpage...

later,
