Supercharger/ Superram recommendation needed
Supercharger/ Superram recommendation needed
I have a 406 with a SR complete kit (DFI). I want to run a supercharger but I called ATI and Vortech, neither could help.
Has anyone installed a SC in a first gen Camaro with a Superram intake?
It seems the problem is I don't run AC or PS. I have an ARDF front suspension (manual rack & pinion) setup. Someone suggested I needed an idler pulley in place of the PS.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Were you the one who emailed me a while ago about my blower for sale? well, either way, you need to get the serpentine set up from a third gen and then you can use a third gen kit. As for ATI, you would need someone to come over who has a kit and see how the intercooler and routing could be done. I am willing to help. shoot me an email.

You'll need the AC delete pulley...as for the steering pump, you can just not install it and route the belt like this: https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/t...ages/belt2.jpg
In that pic it shows the AC but just imagine the AC delete pulley in its place. The steering pump would normally be below the alternator. On the other side below the AC compressor the smog pump is normally there but I assume you don't care about emissions.
You'll also need a reverse rotation water pump and the correct alternator...the pulleys can be bought from any junkyard, etc.
BTW, that AC delete pulley can be bought at the dealer for around $50 dollars... ask for part #10055890. I've seen them cheaper though. Hope that helps.
