112* lobe seperation. OK for supercharging?
112* lobe seperation. OK for supercharging?
I have my 355 TPI w/forged pistons and FULL mods. I wanna get a ProCharger. Im hearing lately that lobe seperation on the cam profile has a large affect on the blowers capabilities. My Crane has 112* lobe seperation. Whatdya think? OK, not OK? Thanks in advace guys. YOU ROCK!

Which Crane do you have? I'm running the 2032 with 1.6 rockers for a total valve lift of 482/496 with 214/220 duration at 50 and a 112 LSA. Works great on my 305 with 6-psig boost and a 50-shot of nitrous.
I did sell my Paxton months ago and will be running a D1SC from ATI designed to run 15-psig @ 6,000 rpm. I will be installing the 3-core intercooler and water (alcohol) injection but no FMU. If needed, I will be going with the Carroll Superfueler supplemental fuel supply system.

Hey Willie, i got (i think) the 2030. Part #104224. 452/465 214/221. Its mellow because i wanna actually drive the thing. But w/ the rest of my set-up, it makes for a killer combo.

Sorry I should have specified the part number of the Crane 2032. It IS 104224. We have the same cam. It should work great with your setup, whether you're supercharged or not.

Ive read that 112 is the lowest you want to go with the lobe sep. 114 is optimum. You will be just fine and make good power with it.
Good luck!
