videos of that 383 turbo starting up AND the buick!!!

Hey everyone.. Remember those two turbo engines I posted about last month? Well my friend has both of them to the point of starting up now.. shouldn't be much longer before I get some videos of them driving around.. Meanwhile, check out my turbo page and follow the link to the single turbo monte and the single turbo buick.. At the top of those pages there are videos of the engines starting up and running. I hate to admit it, but that busch national series buick six just sounds incredible..

Badass videos man! You can really hear the air being blown. The headers on the Monte 383 are sweet! How much did it totally cost for the making of that (materials, welding, labor, etc)? I'd like to use something like that for my turbo project.

I'm not sure of the exact costs involved.. but I have a general idea that he has around $500-$600 in tubing, flangs, etc.. installation is very time consuming as you must fit each piece of tubing, cut, fit again, cut etc until the primaries are built.. then the same for the crossover tube. I asked him what he would charge to build someone a turbo header and he just smiled. That means he would do it, but it's a lot of work and the price wouldn't be cheap. I'll ask him again now that he's had a chance to relax after the construction!

ya know... if i watch anymore of those vids, im going to be really hurting for a turbo for my next engine... right now im torn between a quite nasty 383 (400hp and 450tq) or a blown 355 - 450hp and 500tq.. both crate jobs.. but man, the idea of a blower is just.. nice -- and why wont my signature work?
