Fuel Pressure and N2O
Fuel Pressure and N2O
I finished hooking up my N2O kit Saturday and it's great. Until I can get another fuel pump I am just sticking with 75hp shot, but I have a question. What kind of fuel pressure should I have when I'm on the hose. All motor at WOT I have 52psi fuel pressure. When I use the nitrous my pressure drops to about 48 or 49psi. Do I have anything to worry about for now? Should I try adjusting the pressure regulator? Thanks.

As long as you're over 43-45 PSI then you are in the range the kit was designed for. "Off the shelf" TPI wet kits are designed for 42-50 PSI fuel pressures.
A fuel pressure safety switch set at 40 PSI is always a nice thing to have.

Usually you don't have to worry about colder plugs or timing retard until you reach or surpass 100 HP shots. However that assumes you have the correct timing to start with. For the price of a set, a step colder plug wouldn't be a bad idea even with under 100 HP shots.
The common retard standard is 1°-2° per 50 HP of nitrous, If using more than 100 HP.
