D-cup 58cc blower pistons?
I was wondering if any of you guys have heard of or run a blower on a 355 with d-cup blower pistons. I have a 355 I'm building and have 'Vette heads to match, but am trying to decide if I want to get boost in the future. If so, I'd like a d-cup piston so I can keep the engine happy before and during boost, due to the quench area between the piston and the head. I don't think full dished pistons would be a great choice for this. The problem is, I'll be using ported 'Vette heads that only have 58cc chambers. I don't really want to tear the engine apart again and have it balanced (especially since I'm shipping the parts to a machine shop). And I don't have money to buy the blower or heads now. If I can't do this, I may just go 383 N/A. Anybody know? BTW: I'll be using a SR setup, if it makes a difference. Thanks.

The dished pistons will work for you NA but you just wont be able to create as much compression as you could with a flat top obviously. Its a trade off if you plan on boosting down the road.
I have d-cups in my 406 and I dont have the bloweron now but it runs just fine with 9.2:1 compression.
