im thinking of buying a vortec s-trim for my car, and i want it installed right. Im just woundering how mechanically intensive it is to install a charger. Im not the best when it comes to doing engin work, but i do do most things myself. After the actual thing is installed, is there loads and load of configuaration to do to? and one other thing, i have a hypertech chip installed in my car, will this have to be removed befor installing a supercharger?

The only real tough part is putting the hole into your oil pan. I had my engine out and welded a coupling onto the pan to screw the fitting into but vortech says to punch a hole and use a tap to thread the material you push in. They say to pack the tao with grease so that it will grab any metal shavings.
Other than that, its pretty straight forward as long as your mechanically inclined.
