I am thinking about 5200 RPM. Was the stock pulley a 3.5"?

------------------
Paxton NOVI supercharger W9Lb underdrive Combo pulley, 75HP N20 shot for charge air cooling, SVO 30Lb injectors, Accel AFPR & 300+ ignition, coil and wires, airfoil(getting T/B bored to 2.080" Sold BBK 52mm), ported MAF(waiting on 512gm.sec fix)Bosch Platinum plugs & O2 sensor
E-Tec200 heads ASM LTR & portmatched plennum, Crane Gold 1.6RR's & ZZ4 cam(small cam=streetable). Steel crank & rods, TRW blower pistons W/ZGS rings, all balanced, splayed main 94Vortec block, 1 5/8" long headers, SLP 3"catback minus the kitty!
Moser 9", 35 Spline Detroit Locker & Moser axle's 3:50 ratio HRW 3.250 case with Daytona pinion support, Strange Billet housing ends & 1350 Billet yoke wearing 94Formula disc's held in by all Lakewood adjustable components. HI-TQ GER 700trans,
2400stall with Cyberdyne fuel PSI and trans temp guages on pillar guage pod, 24,000GVW B&M cooler. Edelbrock strut tower brace. Working on converting to 89 chip & wiring.

3.25. Supposedly made 8lbs of boost.

4.5" is on there now and it makes only 4.5 lbs of boost.

Ryan,

Here is the formula in words:

Take your crank pulley diameter (inches) and divide it by the blower pulley diameter (inches). Take the resulting number and multiply it by the blower internal step-up ratio. For a Paxton SN series blower, the ratio is 4.40. Then take this number and multiply it by engine rpm. The result is blower rpm.

You can manipulate this formula in any way to solve for any one unknown. Hope this helps.

Willie

Formula That big pulley will let you rev higher, I am guessing that's why it's on there. I have an extra 3.25 I would trade for a 3.5 if you have one?

Anyone know what the stock crank pulley size is? I dont use it anymore so it's boxed up and buried pretty deep and I dont want to dig it out

OK, for the team I went out and unburried the stock Paxton crank pulley. It seems like it's 6" across to me. I think the SN series redlines at 38000RPM(LMK if I am wrong here).
I show 4700RPM as max with a 38000RPM redline for the blower. This blower redline seems a little low to me, anyone know for sure? One thing I did not figure in is the 10% belt slippage.

The belt configuration for the 1985 - 87 kits uses three small v-belts, not one flat belt as you have.

Formula YOU GOT MAIL!!!It's the grooves on the pulley that are not right, not where it fit's the blower on the old Vbelt style. I have the serpentine system not the Vbelt unit, the year of my car does mislead sometimes.

Ryan, no problem, just glad someone could use them. The package is on the way. I shipped it USPS, so I just have a confirmation #, and those #'s dont track right. I would say you need to be home on Saturday to get this, at the latest Monday.

If anyone else has a paxton BLOWER pulley for sale or trade Let Me Know please.
