Another hairbrained idea

Hey folks. Imagine this ... a FUEL cooler =) ... Designed like an oil cooler, but used to cool the intake mixture (probably more effective on TBI cars). You would probably have to install a more powerful fuel pump, but i was going to do that anyway. How big of gains, if any, would you expect?

I have seen a lot of guys use a small finned cooler hooked up to their fuel return line, that is mounted in front of the radiator. This cools the fuel before it goes back into the tank.

Summit and Jegs both sell several brands of cool cans just for that purpose. They do work, but gains are small. It's easy enough to make your own too...just need a water tight can with a length of tubing coiled up in it.
