After weighing my options with getting the 350 HO crate engine, I decided to go with a power adder. The 350 was too hard to get emissions legal, and it costs too much money, so I decided to add something to my 305 TBI(cuz damn it needs something). My 305 is mad slow, but I'm about to swap out the rear end to some 3.42's and a posi rear, I heard that helps....

So what's my best bet? Where could I get hp wise and for how much money? Be realistic,I don't have $5000, or even $4000 to blow(college kid). Thanks all

P.S. I don't want nitrous, thats scary ****, just something to give me a gut reaction when I step on the gas for once. I'm still pissed that I got dusted by a truck.....

 

the archives has many of these posts, for your engine too. search them to get alot of ideas.. my quick answer is a set of corvette heads/cam, better intake and exhaust. consider a higher stall too

If you can't spend what a supercharger or turbocharger costs, and you aren't willing to use nitrous, then that pretty much leaves you out of the "power adder" game.
