Supercharging a 305tpi

What s/c is best for an 85 tpi trans am.
What extra bhp can i expect.
The engine has only 25,000 miles and has Sealed power pistons, comp cams cam, roller rockers and has been balanced.
Will the engine suffer any ill effects from the s/c
any other info gratefully received

Supercharger kits are available from a variety of companies, however I have heard that Vortec and Paxton are the best two to look at. Will it damage your engine? Most likely no, depending on what kind of boost you are running. Engines that run a high psi level usually need to be upgraded to handle the extra power, along with the other parts of your powertrain (the tranny and rear can only handle so much :P ). A light pressure unit will probably bump you up between 50-75 horsepower (higher pressures will put you into the 100-150+ added horsepower range). If you stick with a low pressure supercharger, im sure you will have no problem showing Mustangs your *** at the stoplight :-)
