Hey guys,( I know only 2 others besides myself)I did anoter little mod to my system bracket thats seems to help out a bit.If you guys ever try to remove the blower,You know how much a PITA it is to get the bolts out beause the whole radiator stuff is in the way.Well I got some threaded rod, zinc plated, grade 5 and made my own studs.Bracket comes off like a charm. And I noticed when tightened down I notice the bracket is noticably stiffer.Well It isnt much but I like to experiment with little crap here and there.
so Maniacc,I hear good news about your system.Hoe many cars you embarresed to date?Track times comming soon.Willie too whats up.

Darren,
Yeppers, the car is running GREAT!!!
So far i've whoop'ed on 2 ram air T/A's, a camaro SS, 2 camaro Z28's, 2000 mustang GT, and a 69 mach1...don't get me wrong though, these cars all took me off the line, but about half way thru 2nd gear i'd catch'em and start pulling on them...DAMN, WHAT A RUSH!!!
I'm trying too get things ready to go to the track, probably the end of Aug. sometime
I received a E-mail from Dorain @ ATI, hes gonna have the new crank spacers made up soon, plus i need a new belt, mines starting to seperate from popping off the pulley all them times...
I like the stud idea, but what about the bolt going thru the alt bracket???
later

Darren,
Not much happening around here. Still using my car daily.... hey, it gets me from here to there and it's dependable too!!
Larry,
Now that you need a new belt, how about I sell you a 3.70" pulley and 64.5" belt to go with it...cheap!!! MORE POWER!!!

Willie,
I really don't think my 60,000 mile motor will handle much more than the 10#'s boost it's already gettin' !!!
But hey maybe when i start building the new motor i'll see just how much the stock head gaskets can really hold
I've really been contemplating getting that new hood, I'm sure that it would be a big improvement on my intake temps...I've been seeing in the 140 degree range...HOT,HOT,HOT!!!

Larry,
I thought you'd say that about your stock-bottomed engine. But before jumping to conclusions, talk to Dorian. I was quite surprised when I did about this (a stock-bottomed engine that is) and he told me without hesitation that it could hold up to 12 pounds of boost easily. Give him a jingle sometime.
My latest project incorporates my hood. I bought three digital air temperature gauges. They will be mounted in the cowl opening on one side and covered by a piece of smoked plexiglass (so you can't see the gauges themselves, only the readouts). They will give me air temperatures in the ducting
Before the intercooler,
After the intercooler, and
In the plenum.
I'll be able to monitor how effective the intercooler and water injection are by watching these three gauges. Should be interesting.

a good running motor will handle 12psi. i had a 12psi pulley making 12psi @ 5500rpm and it handled it fine. i even went lean a decent amount of times due to a failing fuel pump (in tank) and it was still ok
