LT1 383 list

what would i need to get to change my stock 97 lt1 into a 383 stroker. also, would this be good for an everyday car? i have a t-56 and jasper 3.73 posi.

1 piece front and rear seal 383 crank(should be LT1 specific)

6 in. 383 rods(keeps the same rod angle as 5.7 in. rod with shorter stroke).

6 in. 383 pistons(pin is higher in the piston)

Relieve the block and rod bolts for clearance
While your in the machine shop it has to go .030 inches overbore to get 383 inches. Also pick up an engine rebuild kit.

Now that you've done all that you've bumped compression quite a bit. Look to retard timing and run high octane fuel. The top end of the engine should be able to support the extra air flow.

Am I missing anything?
