second fuel pump needed for 100shot NOS???

The guy I'm buying my NOS kit from suggested a second fuel pump. One that is installed in-line and is piggybacked to work with the other one. He said his Fuel pressure spikes at about 80psi when he goes WOT. Does this soud right to any of you, or should I just ignore the whole second pump thing?

thanks again.

I'm straping the nos on this weekend!!!

l've never heard of that in my life, l'm running a 150 shot on a stock internals 305, and i've gone through atleast 15 bottles. using the stock fuel pump, filter, and regulator, 80 psi sounds a little high l think

Your stock pump is fine if it is still in good shape. If it makes any noise replace it because it may not flow as well as it did new and it could lead to a lean condition and with N2O that’s the last thing you want, but you don't need a loud external pump that will drive you nuts with the noise.

l'm running a stock internals 305 TPI LB9 in my 1990 IROC Z the induction system makes no difference weather or not your block can handle over 100 HP shot, it all matters on how well its running and how well you take care of it. in my case I've got over 70,000 on the clock, and its still running like the day it came off the show room floor.

Yeah, mine runs great too. no problem with the fuel pump. I guess I'll see how it goes.
