Which AFR heads and what cam?
I have a 406 motor that I want to make into a blower motor. I am looking at AFR heads but cannot decide between 195 and 210's.
I want to run a hydraulic roller cam and want to know which would be the best for the application.
It is a automatic car, 3000 stall, 4.11 gears, Procharger D-1, hoping for aorund 12-15 lbs. of boost.
Any comments are experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

Go with the 210. Possibly even the 220.
When you get a cam, call comp cams or cam motion and tell them your combo. They will be able to tell you better than anyone what cam you should run.
Check out my webpage. I have a 406 with an S-Trim Vortech and AFR190 on it. I want better heads then the 190.

like guido said, the bigger heads. a 406, with 3000 stall, 4.11 gears, and a D1 is going to be one hefty motor. it sounds like its oging to want to make power in the high end, so get the 210s or 220's. i'd call afr, and after you decide that call comp cams or whoever. remember, a cam is more of a tuning aid than a way to make power.

My new motto, buy more head than you can afford & worry about the rest later. if you dont have the best heads you can get, the rest is just stuff.
