I am already having trouble w/ the trans using the stock engine and 12#. Need to know what others have done to run torque and HP from 383 w/ 12# thru a trans that will last for a year or more.
I know it will need to be sent out, I am wondering what parts need to be upgraded, or any recomended kits.

Probuilt and art carr both have 700r4 trans that can withstand 600+ horsepower and 650+ ft.lbs torque at reasonable prices, around 1200 bucks, it'll cost you close to that to have your transmission rebuilt with performance parts, unless you know someone in the business.

i recomend learing how to rebuild a 700r4
your self once you do it wont cost much to
rebuild cost me 250 or less every time i do it
plus i learnd what needs to be upgreaded
so that part wont fail again.
i used to spend 700 a year or more on tranny
rebuilds just becouse i made to much torque.
