Need advice on poorman's supercharger

I have an L98 motor and wondered to myself why spend $3,000 on a new SC if one from a supercharged Thunderbird would work for a little boost. What, besides a custom welded bracket, would keep me from trying this. Any help would be appreciated.

No it won't work. That style super charger is a roots version. Plus the mounting will be all wrong. The slim chance you would have in installing it would be to convert to carb, and even then i don't think it would work.

what year? some of the 90 ish ones were the centrifical style. I don't see why it would not work. as long as it can feed your eng. any pos. intake presure will help. I would only be concerned if the sc can keep positive pressure at your max rpm
