I have a 79 vette with a carburated SBC 350. I was thinking about getting a supercharger eventually and ran across this one for a good price from Summit Racing. It goes for $1,479 and I was wondering if any of you had any experience with this supercharger. Is it any good? Is it worth the money? The specs are here http://www.weiand.com/HiOctn/ProdLin.../SCK/6500.html The price is right so thats why I am leaning tward this model. Also could I still use my 50-75-100hp adjustable Nitrous plate system on top of that sucker! With this setup I could easily be over 500hp when its all said and done. I'm sure my lower end will explode with that kinda power but what better excuse to rebuild it.

 

Anyone? Anyone? How about roots style blowers in general? Are they dependable? How many pounds of boost would it give me? What cfm carb would i need to feed the engine? If I have 9:1 compression will I be safe from detonation still?
