interesting octane article..

http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc...explained.html check it out.. here's an excerpt "The 1.5 liter turbocharged engines ran as much as 5 bars of boost (73 psi) in qualifying and 4 bars (59 psi) in the actual race. Power output exceeded 1500bhp, which translates into 1000bhp/liter, an astronomical figure. " thought it would catch your attention.. a friend of mine is using toulene in his 22psi GN

I have seen that artical before but was afraid to try making my own octane booster because I didnt want to screw up my motor. Anyone know for sure if this artical is accurate, is this safe to try?

They say paint thinner contains toulene so I went to the store and look at some paint thinners and sure enough toulene is a ingredient amongst other things. Does it have to be 100% toulene or will a paint thinner work. There were like 2 or 3 other ingredients in there with it.
