what do i need to do?

alright i have a 1985 305 tpi iroc and i was wondering what all i have to do to set up a turbo for my car and what kind of turbos do they have for my car? any information would be awesome thanks.

Well, let's see.. Of course, you'd need a turbocharger. (duh.) You'd probably want to run with an intercooler as well, although this isn't necessary. You'd need to either buy or fabricate yourself a set of headers to hook the turbo up to. Then you'd have to run some more ductwork to the intercooler, or just to the intake. You'd need to run an oil line to the turbo, and you'd need to get a waste gate so you don't blow things apart. Then, you would need to lower your compression some so you don't start pinging like crazy. For that you'd most likely use different pistons. Because of the added power, you'd probably also want to strenghten the engine, with various forged components. And you'd probably also want to get a cam suited for use with a turbocharger.
